Jeevan is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in knee surgery. He completed his Specialist Orthopaedic training from the East Midlands (North) training programme and then completed his fellowship training at The Royal Derby Hospital where he developed his skill in managing acute knee injuries. In addition, his practice often comprises of managing complex patients with early onset arthritis in the knee. His surgical profile in managing these problems consist of both joint preservation surgery including meniscal and cartilage preservation and joint replacement surgery including uni-compartment replacement surgery. His NHS practice is based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he also runs an acute knee service, managing patients with knee injuries including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. His East Midlands practices are at Circle NHS Treatment Centre in Nottingham and Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre.
Jeevan is responsible for training UK orthopaedic surgeons. Every year he runs an international course for surgeons to prepare them to be consultant orthopaedic surgeons. The course is run over 2 days in September and usually attracts 50 orthopaedic trainees and a national faculty of 70 UK surgeons. During this course, up to 150 patients from 3 hospitals will attend with a variety of orthopaedic conditions.
Outside of work, Jeevan enjoys travelling with his young family, the theatre, and good food.
