Conal and Jeevan are responsible for training junior Orthopaedic surgeons as part of the East Midlands Regional Training Programme.
As part of a recent Royal College of Surgeons of England initiative, both Conal and Jeevan are responsible for trainees rotating through their hospital as part of The International Surgical Training Programme. They are committed to providing training opportunities that eventually benefit these overseas surgical trainees and their home countries that they then return to. This has helped foster relationships between UK hospitals and international institutions. To date, this includes several trainees from the West Indies, Sri Lanka and India and this list is ever expanding.
In addition, Conal and Jeevan include in their busy yearly schedules, the time to contribute as faculty and lecturers in Orthopaedic courses and conferences both nationally and internationally. They are themselves, organisers of the Chesterfield Sheffield & Derby FRCS Clinical Examination Course responsible for training UK surgeons who will go on to become consultants.
